How did PFL get started?

In 1996 PFL started as a local brick-and-mortar print shop and in 1999 became the world’s first online print shop.

What does your company do?

PFL is a marketing technology company that provides sales enablement and marketing automation solutions, as well as printing, mailing, and fulfillment services. We directly connect B2B organizations to cutting edge solutions that accelerate productivity and drive business forward.

Who do you hire?

Our goal is to hire those who truly believe in our vision of raising the performance of American business, by setting standards for delivering truly great customer experiences. We want people who are bought into this and excited to be a part of a team that is building something great.

What is special about PFL?

We’re always growing, improving and innovating and ask our employees to do the same. We take professional growth seriously so that our employees will have lots of opportunity to grow and plenty of problems to solve. We offer competitive benefits and a matching 401k. In order to drive results we move fast and our open concept facility allows us to collaborate quickly. We pick and keep only the best people, train them well, encourage them to have fun, and equip them with the best tools and information. In addition, they are given latitude to make good decisions while growing with continuous feedback on their performance.

Is there a story that best illustrates what you do and why you do it? Help our customers be successful.

It's a part of our core, deep in our DNA. But what does that look like, day in and day out? In the beginning, it meant state-of-the-art manufacturing and custom print solutions to fit each customer's unique need.

Build the MarTech Machine.

As we grow, making our customers successful means developing technology solutions like our TMA® and SwagIQ® software that change the way they connect with prospects and drive results. We haven't forgotten our roots: we still provide top quality custom print solutions. Today, we're carving out new categories in marketing automation and sales enablement to help those we serve achieve their business goals.

What are your plans for the future?

Continue to grow our traditional print channel revenues but create a new MarTech category, called Tactile Marketing Automation in the next 5 years. And, of course, become the undisputed leader (75% market share) in the TMA space.

Why are you in Montana?

We are close to Yellowstone, Paradise Valley, Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley. It’s the best place to live and raise a family and despite having opportunities to relocate the business, we chose not to. We are proud to be part of the high tech growth in southwestern Montana and we’re here for good.

What do you like about Montana? Your community?

PFL has a work hard play hard mantra. We want our employees to enjoy the beautiful state and all the recreation it has to offer. We are proud to be one of the largest employers in Park County providing professional opportunities that pay professional wages. In addition, what's better than giving to our communities? PFL has a generous gifting budget and takes pride in contributing to local organizations that support animal welfare, the impoverished, youth education, and Veterans. Giving has long been a part of our culture at PFL, we are proud to have officially joined Pledge 1%, a corporate philanthropy movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business.
