In the last five years, Montana's bioscience sector grew rapidly as researchers and companies accelerated innovation in response to industry changes and COVID-19. This virtual event will offer insights and strategies based on the Montana Bioscience Cluster Initiative’s half-decade helping leaders across Montana navigate evolving workforce needs.

Moderator Nicole Rush, Deputy Director of the Missoula Economic Partnership and a bioscience workforce specialist, will lead a panel discussion with industry partners. The conversation will highlight lessons learned from experience and look forward at future opportunities in 2024 and beyond.

Karen Brown, Founder, KLEO Research

Karen is an entrepreneur and clinician scientist. In 2019, she founded KLEO Research, a boutique contract research organization that provides medical device and diagnostic companies with clinical trial management; regulatory affairs support; market access strategy; medical writing; data management and statistical analysis. As a research scientist, Karen supports the growth of SIHI in the Institute’s mission to serve as a hub for health education, research, and outreach to improve access to emerging health innovations for underserved populations. Karen received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Montana Skaggs School of Pharmacy in 2020 and completed her fellowship in 2022 under the mentorship of Dr. Erica Woodahl.
