What: The Greater Northwest Passenger Rail Summit brings together rail advocates and policymakers across the region to start coordinating the “second rail revolution.” The passage in late 2021 of the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) has created the best opportunity in decades to expand and improve passenger rail access.

When: Monday and Tuesday, August 22nd-23rd

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE EVENT:

-Railroad and rail infrastructure experts who aim to educate, innovate, and coordinate for the restoration, expansion, and enhancement of passenger rail service across the Greater Northwest.

-The event will bring together policymakers at the local, state, and federal levels, as well as passenger railroad organizations, advocates, and enthusiasts.

-Featuring guest speakers: such as Federal Railroad Administration Administrator Amit Bose, US Surface Transportation Board member Karen Hedlund, and USDOT Deputy Assistant Secretary of Tribal Affairs, Arlando Teller.
