MHTBA and MSU Executive Roundtable and Reception

The MSU Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering and the Montana High Tech Business Alliance are partnering to celebrate Engineer's Week and increase the pipeline of students into high-paying tech jobs in Montana by co-hosting a series of events to be held at MSU on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

Join our hosts at the Montana State University Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering for a walking tour of the college's state-of-the-art facilities and innovative programs. MHTBA members and invited guests only. Space is limited. Advance registration required.

2:30-4 pm | Executive Roundtable: "A Vision for the Future of Technology Education in Montana," Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering, Inspiration Hall and Virtual

Join MHTBA members and invited guests in re-imagining what technology education could look like for Montana students in k-12, higher ed, and beyond.

Speakers include:

  • Brett Gunnink, Dean, MSU Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering

  • John Paxton, Chair, MSU Gianforte School of Computing

  • Stephanie Gray, Dean, Gallatin College MSU

In addition to our expert speakers, the discussion will include representatives from the tech industry, K-12 education, organizations like FIRST Robotics, Code Girls United, and the Montana Science Center, rural and tribal communities, and veterans.

Tickets for the roundtable are based on membership levels:

  • $5,000 Platinum (5 guests)

  • $2,500 Gold (4 guests)

  • $1,000 Silver (3 guests)

  • $500 Bronze (2 guests)

  • $250 Industry Professional, $100 Startup, or $50 Emerging Professional (1 guest)

Virtual - The roundtable will also be open to virtual attendees in Zoom. Link will be emailed to those who register to attend virtually.

4:30-5:30 pm | Employer Panel: “How to Get Tech Jobs and Internships in Montana,” Inspiration Hall and Virtual

MSU students will join MHTBA members and invited guests for this session designed to give greater visibility to Montana employers eager to hire graduates.

Leaders from some of Montana's top tech employers will share what they do, who they hire, and how MSU students can land a job or internship with their company.

5:30-7 pm | Networking Reception with MSU Students, Inspiration Hall

Networking among students and tech employers. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.

For the employer panel and reception, the number of guests per organization is based on MHTBA membership level:

  • $5,000 Platinum (10 guests)

  • $2,500 Gold (7 guests)

  • $1,000 Silver (5 guests)

  • $500 Bronze (3 guests)

  • $250 Industry Professional or $100 Startup (2 guests)

  • $50 Emerging Professional (1 guest)

Members are also encouraged to bring guests from non-member companies who may be interested in joining the Alliance. Non-member prospects may attend one MHTBA event for free. Advance registration is required. Please RSVP by Feb. 18, 2022.
