Social Media Marketing Certificate of Technical Studies (C.T.S.)
Program Length: 1 year
Description: FVCC’s Social Media Marketing Certificate of Technical Studies program is designed to for those who want to learn and/or improve skills in social media marketing and use those skills to enhance a new or existing business. Most courses in this certificate can be applied to the AAS Business Administration and AAS Small Business Management programs. Upon completion of this program, students will be able to understand the value of a comprehensive marketing plan, understand how social media marketing supports the comprehensive marketing plan, develop and deliver a social media marketing campaign, use a variety of social media marketing tools, and write content intended for use in social media marketing tools.

Customer Relations Certificate (ONLINE)
Program Length: 1 year
Description: Increase your competitive advantage by learning how to create a service culture that builds and maintains business-building relationships with customers through Missoula College’s online Customer Relations Certificate. We’ll cover such important topics as verbal/nonverbal communication, effective conflict resolution and listening skills. Customer Relations can be earned independently, or combined with second-year curriculum toward an Associate of Applied Science degree in Administrative Management.

Program Length: Minor = 3 years; B.A. = 4 years
Description: A graduate of Carroll College’s Communication Studies program will be able to use communication constructively and unselfishly, serve others and promote peace on all levels - interpersonally, socially and globally, understand the moral foundations of communication, and be prepared for a career in public relations, journalism, advertising and marketing, event planning, and secondary education.

Communication Arts – Media Studies Option – Minor or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) (ONLINE Option)
Program Length: Minor = 3 years; B.A. = 4 years
Description: The Media Studies Option at MSUB is designed to examine the nature of the mass media through theoretical grounding and applied knowledge with a concentration in the construction and delivery of media messages and the effects of mediated messages and the structures and practices of the media industries on culture, society, politics, the economy, and individual attitudes and behavior. This approach prepares students for careers as trained media professionals as well as to be critical consumers of media messages. The study of message construction and analysis is offered in a variety of contexts including news gathering and reporting, public relations, video production, and advertising. In each context theoretical perspectives are combined with skills training related to print and electronic media. Career options in the field of Media Studies include public relations, marketing, broadcast news, corporate communications, and advertising.
Communication Arts – Organizational Communication Option – Minor or B.A. (ONLINE Option)
Program Length: Minor = 3 years; B.A. = 4 years
Description: Montana State University Billings’ Organizational Communication Option is designed to educate students entering the fields of business and social service as managers, trainers, human resource officers, and corporate communication staff. This option also provides excellent preparation for graduate study in communication as well as law. The programs in Organizational Communication enable the student to acquire a mature understanding of interaction and other communication issues in organizational situations; to improve the ability to contribute to productive organizational performance; to increase personal effectiveness related to technical communication concerns; and to apply learning to real-life organizational settings.
Public Relations Bachelor of Science (ONLINE Option)
Program Length: 4 years
Description: The MSUB Public Relations Bachelor of Science is modeled on the Public Relations Society of America’s Undergraduate Education recommendations and founded on the definition of communication that views communication between people as the process that leads to shared meaning and understanding. Additionally the program is designed prepare students in a variety of settings including: Corporate, Non-profit, Government, Healthcare, and Education, and is a professional degree with a broad focus including the non-profit and public information areas. The program merges communication and media studies with marketing, and allows students to acquire theoretical and practical public relations skills leading to careers in public relations.

Description: If you are interested in the process of human communication, both verbal and non-verbal messaging, and its impact across business and society, the University of Montana’s Communication Studies program will give you the tools to put that interest into practice. In addition to speaking and writing courses, your studies will include rhetorical theory and communication in specific areas such as technology and environmentalism.

Description: Join a hands-on, fully accredited, nationally recognized journalism program that gives you the opportunity to design your own curriculum. If you’re interested in telling stories through a variety of media, including the written word, video, film, photography, graphic design or audio, a bachelor’s degree in journalism from UM can get you there. As a journalism major, you can focus on one particular area of media to study or create a broader educational experience for yourself. You’ll learn to think critically about your community and the world, and tell stories that matter — while building your media portfolio and professional network through extensive hands-on, real-world training. UM’s state-of-the-art facilities feature all the latest equipment for photography, TV, film, and audio work in an intimate learning environment.
Communication Studies – Communication and Human Relationships B.A.
Program Length: 4 years
Description: Earn your degree in communication studies with a concentration in communication and human relationships at UM and walk away with a solid ability to communicate with others — at home, on the job and in the field. UM’s program offers flexible remote learning opportunities and extensive hands-on engagement. The communication and human relationships program prepares students in dyadic communication — communication between two people. You’ll focus on close, personal relationships and more general interpersonal interactions. As a communication studies major, you’ll also gain an understanding of how we create and make sense of messages shared in relationships with one another — and be able to apply these principles in any context, from teaching, management, social work to athletic training.
Communication Studies – Organizational Communication B.A.
Program Length: 4 years
Description: Gain an in-depth understanding of the complexities of organizations in the 21st century. The organizational communication program — a concentration of the communication studies degree at UM — features extensive hands-on learning opportunities, flexible remote course options, and a career path in high demand. As a communication major with a focus in organizational communication, you learn to dissect organizational complexities working alongside talented faculty who are experts in crisis management, identity, culture, leadership, and decision-making across organizational contexts. You also explore the role of communication technology in society, learn PR practices and skills, and analyze major organizational crises such as the impact of the pandemic on organizations.
Communication Studies – Rhetoric and Public Discourse B.A.
Program Length: 4 years
Description: Earn your degree in communication with a concentration in rhetoric and public discourse at UM and prepare to expand your ability to persuade and motivate — in speech and in writing. Grow your understanding of conceptual, historical, and practical public discourse through in-person and online classes. UM’s program also adds hands-on learning that applies your knowledge outside the classroom, with opportunities to witness the use of rhetoric and propaganda around the world. The result? Description: The University of Montana offers a nationally acclaimed Communication Studies MA program. UM’s Communication Studies master’s program offers students foundational courses in three broad areas of the discipline - interpersonal communication, organizational communication, and rhetoric and public discourse - as well as training in qualitative, quantitative, and rhetorical methods. In addition, UM offers a range of topical courses and seminars about communication related to thematic areas such as gender, environment, family, identity, community, risk, conflict, and technology.
