Grant Projects Management Workforce Certification
Program Length: 1 Semester (16 credits)
Description: SKC’s Workforce Certification in Grant Projects Management provides students with foundational skills needed to manage grant funds. The courses leading to this certification could be taken in combination with any major at SKC and would be beneficial for any professional organization that depends on grant funding, especially educational institutions and tribal entities. Students completing the required courses would become familiar with the basic features of grant projects management including the general process, how to distribute the funds appropriately, adherence to regulations and laws compulsory for grant funds, and completion of the reports required by the funding agency. Ethics in grant management are also addressed.

Description: The Grant Projects Management Program at SKC is designed to prepare graduates to gain employment in tribal, non-profit, or public organizations that operate with grant funding. Description: The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree program at University of Montana Western is designed to allow graduates with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree to earn a bachelor’s degree with minimal loss of the time spent and credits earned in obtaining the AAS degree. Students may take/apply for one of the AAS degrees at UMW to meet the associate degree portion of the BAS. In most cases, students will need to earn an additional 60 credits beyond the AAS degree. The WBLC Data Dashboard aims to make data on work-based learning in Montana accessible to help improve workforce support, work-based learning, and educational opportunities so that young people are better prepared for employment success and employers gain skilled workers. Updates are made annually.
