Digital transformation consulting firm Perficient acquires Bozeman-based Elixiter

When he founded Elixiter in Bozeman, Montana, in 2011, Andrew Hull had a vision for a marketing and tech company that could provide great employment opportunities in the Big Sky State. “Part of my motivation to grow and run this business in Montana was to provide high-paying careers for Montanans or those that want to live in Montana,” Hull said.

Hull said Perficient’s Oct. 29 announcement that it had acquired the award-winning marketing automation firm was one more step to fulfilling this goal. Perficient is a leading digital transformation consulting firm based in St. Louis, Missouri. Perficient’s digital agency, Perficient Digital, is known for digital strategy, experience design, content, digital marketing, and mobile experience and expertise. Perficient is also one of only a handful of Adobe Premier Partners. Elixiter’s expertise in Marketo, marketing automation software that was recently acquired by Adobe, made the Bozeman office an attractive fit for Perficient.

In a statement, Perficient said, with both of these acquisitions, the company is “well-positioned” to enhance its cloud expertise and assist clients in delivering exceptional end-to-end customer experiences. Along with expertise in Marketo, Elixiter brings an office of about 40 Bozeman-based professionals as well as client relationships with Fortune 1000 companies to the table.

With the new suite of services that Perficient offers, Hull said the Bozeman office can serve its existing customers in ways they couldn’t before. “We really are complementary to Perficient Digital’s existing offerings,” Hull said.

Perficient plans to grow the Bozeman office, though no details have been released at this time. Hull said the dedication to growth in Montana was one factor that sold him on the acquisition. “Knowing that they're committed to growing our capabilities was a really big deal for me,” Hull said.

The former Elixiter office in Bozeman will be one of more than 20 locations around the world. Hull said the diverse location options is just one of the benefits Bozeman employees can enjoy as new Perficient employees. “If our employees want to grow above and beyond just Marketo, they have avenues into a lot of different specialty areas, whether that’s other Adobe solutions or broad digital marketing disciplines,” Hull said. “I believe becoming part of Perficient provides excellent long-term opportunities for our employees.”
